What is synthetic leather?
Synthetic leather is a versatile material that is very popular in craftsmanship. It has a surface that feels and looks like genuine leather but is manufactured without animal skins. Synthetic leather is made from textile fabrics and coated with PVC, polyurethane, or polyester. In this way, the typical grain structure of leather is mimicked. Nowadays, there is hardly any difference to genuine leather visible, as synthetic leather is produced so well.
