What are the advantages of a waterproof HPL laminate surface?
HPL is a laminate produced under high pressure and stands for a hard-wearing , durable surface. The multi-layered layer of paper embedded in melamine resin takes on a plastic-like shape after curing. This hardness makes the surface particularly robust and durable. In addition, the surface is waterproof and can be left outside in wind and weather without hesitation.

Our COMPACT table top is extremely robust and can withstand almost any weather . Whether rain, sun, high humidity or frost - the material retains its shape and does not change colour. That's fantastic!
The material is heat-resistant and can withstand high temperatures of up to 180° C . This means that you can, for example, briefly place something hot on the table frame without damaging the surface. The same applies to a dropped cigarette.
The pressing process gives the material a smooth , completely sealed surface. HPL can be cleaned with a little water or soapy water and immediately shines again in new splendour !
With the right care, the HPL surface remains even and does not flake off.
As we use non-bleached paper to manufacture HPL, the water consumption during production is particularly low and resource-saving. In addition, our Werzalit table tops are recyclable.
A decorative paper is incorporated into the HPL table tops, which is responsible for the appearance of the surface. We offer a wide range of decors: from a wood or stone look to plain colours.
